Bike Marshal Casual Pace 4:30 PM brief to support the 5:00-7:00 PM stroll Coordinator: Tom Bauer
Location - The Holiday Light Stroll is in Newport News City Park, but the assembly point is Woodside High School, 13450 Woodside Ln, Newport News, VA.
Serve as a bike marshal during the Holiday Light Stroll. This walking event precedes the annual holiday Celebration in Lights which runs from Thanksgiving to New Years and has been a favorite member activity for years. Please bring your mobile phone for communication with the NN Park coordination center.
Note: This a rain or shine event and will not be cancelled by the organizers unless public safety authorities declare a weather emergency. However during previous events when there is rain participants bring umbrellas which may be difficult for marshals to see, so your front light needs to be bright enough to see ahead of you and not a blinky associated with riding on a well lite street. All bikes need front and rear lights.
While decorating your helmet, bike frame and wheel lights is optional it adds to the fun and may be reused for other activities and in future years. Sample bike frame lights, and bike wheel lights
