Due to the current coronavirus pandemic within our country, the PBA Board of Directors voted on a motion to suspend all sanctioned PBA group rides as of March 15, 2020 until further notice; this motion unanimously passed.

This means that all PBA ride currently scheduled will not be covered by the club's insurance, and we recommend Ride Leaders not have group rides until the Board reverses the suspension.  We will evaluate that move in the future based upon current information about this pandemic and what guidelines and restrictions are in place.

We strongly recommend not riding in groups at this time.  Please adhere to all current guidelines, restrictions, and requirements and take the necessary pre-cautions, recommendations, and warnings to keep yourself and other safe.

The club's Board of Directors is still looking for any club members who would like to be more actively involved with the direction, decisions, and policies for the club.  There are a few positions currently open that we really need to have someone step up to fill.  Current vacancies include: Advocacy Director (voting member); Events Coordinator, and Volunteers Coordinator (non-voting members).   If anyone is curious or interested about the positions, please come to the next Board meeting on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 2:30pm at the York County Library-Tabb area, at 100 Long Green Blvd. or contact any of the current Board members.

We lost a great Back Alley Ride and PBA member to a hit and run accident in the Dare section of lower York County on October 25, 2018. Two arrests have been made. Brian Utne was a great ride leader and bicycling advocate and practiced and taught sharing the roads with motor vehicles.
Husband, father, brother, son, employee, and bicycle rider.
Brian's memorial ride was attended by close to 400 riders and supported by the York County Sheriff's Office.

We all know how fabulous the Virginia Capital Trail is!

And we're excited about a new trail, actually two of them, in the planning stages to connect the Southern extent of the Virginia Capital Trail at Jamestown Settlement to both Fort Monroe and the South Hampton Roads Trail!
