Belgian Beer and Cycling Pub Ride

  • December 20, 2015
  • 10:00 AM
  • Williamsburg Regional Library, 515 Scotland St., Williamsburg

This is the last Williamsburg Pub Series Ride of the year. Following this ride all are invited to assemble in the DoG Street Pub tasting room for some Christmas ride recovery beverages. For those coming from afar, you may want to take a slow bike ride down DoG Street to view the colonial Christmas decorations.

As with the other pub rides, we will be offering a B/B+ pace ride; A-pace and C-pace will be self-directed with cue sheets available.

The following Link depicts the A-Pace course: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/11192496. The B-Pace group will follow the same route except will skip Governors Land. If you would like a cue sheet print one out but the B-group will stay completely together with frequent strategic re-goupings - Jamestown Visitor Center (Bathroom Break), Intersection of Brickbat and Centerville Road, the summit of the Jolly Pond climb, the Freedom Park round-about, and some location on Long Hill Road following the climb.

We will depart the Williamsburg Library parking lot - those concerned with the 2 hour parking restriction may park at Mathew Whaley Elementary School and ride over to the library.

Pace: Anticipate potential for splitting the hosted B ride into two groups - expect 16.5/17.0 MPH average for the faster group. A and C groups will be self-directed and will ride whatever pace is required to keep all together.
