Williamsburg Beer Run

  • August 03, 2014
  • 9:30 AM
  • Aleworks address is 189B Ewell Rd, Williamsburg, VA

Sunday 8/3:  August 9:30  In response to PBA demand for more beer, Dave Clarke (the retiree) and Robin Land (the hard working Government employee) will lead a ride from Aleworks this Sunday, August 3rd.  I told you we would be back and here we are! Once again Dave Clarke (The Lone Ranger – who is having way to much fun checking out different pubs) and Robin Land (Tonto and far more serious about the entire thing) are hosting the 2nd 2014 Williamsburg Pub Series Ride. Since we had so much fun at Aleworks last time, we are doing it again! But this time we will head out in a different direction and get Car Wash hill out of the way early in the ride. We then take a beautiful route around the reservoir before we head out to Stone-House (Robin loves riding SH!!). Narrow and winding country roads will greet us with rolling climbs all of the way to the Stone-House area. No drops and lots of re-groupings will be necessary on this ride. From Stone-House it is a flat finish for the last 1/3 of the ride. There will be an option for some who might have the legs to extend the route to take on the infamous KOA Hill (oh yippee). Good cold beer on tap at the Brewery tops off a super 33.5 mile ride.  This is weather dependent.  Too much rain and the ride will cancel.  RSVP to Robin Land jbtaxi2829@aol.com

As with the last ride, everyone bring something to share with the group. We may make a stop at Pierces BBQ, grab and sandwich and bring it back. Should be warm and moist by the time we get back…. Dave!
